    New Member, with Question..

It is quite possible that the peening on the cylinder is not due to how the bolt fits into the cylinder grove, but rather how the legs of the bolt engage the action on the inside of the gun. There are plenty of folks with the experience to guide you on fixing such a problem. Really, it is not...

    Need help with my Walker

The only time I have dissassembled mine, I was able to get the mainspring in and out by hand. It was kinda tricky, but I figured it out.

    CCW Blackpowder pistol?

This kind of question comes up every now and then, and the same thing happens. People like to state that cap-n-ball revolvers are still firearms. Fine. It may be that way in your state, but not every state is the same. Texas specifically exempts them from the definition of firearms and...

    Ban on Imported weapons

I would guess that they would have to make them firearms (legally) first. I dont thing Eo would cover that. At any rate, muzzleloaders are gonna way down on his list. even if he atempts another assault weapons ban, I doubt it will include muzzle loaders. Especially since muzzle loaders...

    affordable revolvers....

Brass Remingtons are probably less prone to getting out of time (speculation, of course) not necessarily because of the top strap, but because they have a greater area that the impact of the cylinder is spread out over. Look at the cylinder of a remington, and compare it to a Colt. The Colt...

    affordable revolvers....

Uberti has been the standard for cap-n-ball revolvers for a while, but a lot of folks seem to think that the more recent Piettas are pretty close in quality. If you are looking into getting into BP shooting without spending a lot of money, I would buy the cheapest steel fram Pietta you can...

    Made me think. hmmmmm

I think I can get about 35 in my remmie, too. I know the factory measure thingy that screws on to my flask that came with it is supposed to be 30 or so. I vaguely remember this being true when I tested it. Anyhow, I have plenty of room for a few extra grains when I fill a cylinder with it...

    Made me think. hmmmmm

Shoot, fill it to the brim, compress the powder, and then fill it some more. Pocket knives were made for a reason... ...none of this advice should be taken seriously, but Sangria is amazing.

777 for the best sub for beginers. Much more forgiving as far as cleaning goes.

Is this dangerous ? (BP substitutes)

Now, if you really want to screw us up, tell us you did it with slow twist rifling.

    "antigue-ing" a repro revolver?

I tried applying vinegar with a Q-tip on mine, and it concentrated on the flat parts of my barrel, instead of the corners where it would be worn. I ended up with the opposite of what I was shooting for, so I just deblued the wole gun. If you are planning on leaving some of the original...
