Went to Swan Creek once. No one there. Pulled up and noticed an ammo box a few tables over. Went and got it and checked inside. Someone was using it as a range bag. Targets folded up, tools, ammo, and a GLOCK! Rummiging around and found a phone number. Started dialing as a car came speeding in...
Personally when I was looking for a semi auto 308, I was really wanting an M1A, but saw a DPMS LR-308. I wasn't an AR fan until after I got it. It is sweet and a tack driver. Been extremely reliable too. Had it for about a year and a half and still shoots as sweet as day one.
If I had a choice between the two (and I did) I'd go with a Hi-Point Carbine. Main reason is accessability to ammo. Even without the crazies of the past year 30 Carbine ammo was real hard to find and much more expensive than 9mm. Personally I'd like a 45 now that they have those. The other...
Personally I love my Windham. It is a tack driver out at 100 yards and it is more accruate than the iron sights at 200 yards (post covered more of the target than the grouping). The twist rate works well with the 47-55 grain bullets I use. Haven't used anything heavier yet. And the best part, it...
Love my DPMS LR308 Classic. It's a tackdriver. Helped a buddy pick one up and he went with the MP-10, they didn't have any DPMSs at the time. Both are good. The only issue I know of with the MP is that more parts are proprietary to SW than the DPMS.
Depending on their intent and the way the stickers are labeled, it could be possible to track it to a specific store and they could come down on management. That's probably wishful thinking, but I think it is a good start.
Think about it from this prospective, Ammo flippers go in to just get...
Putting it in the basement vs "upstairs" would depend on the house construction. Our house only had a basement under an addition. The main house only had a crawlspace. Safe fell down to the earth about 3'. If the house had a full basement it's a darned if you do, darned if you don't scenario.
Haven't had a gun safe go thru a fire, but my Mom had a firesafe when her house burned down (to the ground) and she had a partial basement.
Two things I learned from that fire, 1. If you have a safe, put it near an outside wall and know about where it is from the outside. I was able to pick...
Buddy picked up an MP-10 recently. Nice rifle (I talked him into it). He got it for about $1200 a few months ago, so I'd think you could beat that price now. Personally I went with a DPMS 308 in Oct. Love it, that gun is a tack driver. Cool thing is, both guns run pmags (if you can find 308...
Didn't realize Larry's was limiting 22. Just haven't seen it much. Was able to pick some up back in the March timeframe without buying a 22. Did see them with some PPU .223 with no limits the other day.
Everything I've seen says commercial, and the nut isn't staked. From many of the reviews I've seen, those are the two negatives some people have mentioned. Personally, just put one on layaway. Waiting for a buddy to get back from a work trip to pay me for my Mini-14 so I can pick it up.
Well even after the new bill passed, not technically shall issue, I like the way the sponsor of the bill put it after the conference committee compromise.... we are "shmay" issue. Basically we now have a way to address it if we are denied. That said, Madison county pretty much gives you the...
Saw an article a while back of a kid in the UK who does realistic weapons with legos. He did one not sure if it was an AR or similar EBR, but it did shoot lego bricks ;)
Was in one of our Walmarts recently and they had tula 223 on the shelf for 5.27, picked up a couple since my Mini loves it. Was in one of the others a couple of days later and they had about 25 boxes of Winchester 556 on the shelf, $12 per box. never seen the Winchester before so not sure what...
