    Imr 4064

Thanks for the replies. Guess I won't be setting records but since I have the powder and a whole s-pot of pulled bullets and brass I'll just make up a bunch of blasting ammo. I have an old SP-1 that eats anything. Thanks again.

    Mauser stock opinions

I have been trying to put together a reasonably correct bcd 4 and have everything but the stock selected. I recently read an article which indicated that in 1945 the Kriegs Model stock was produced in both laminate and solid walnut and came in every possible combination (screwed on barrel...

    Bolt Forgery?

Pictured is a bolt from an all matching rifle dou 43 serial number 61xx. Along side of it is a matching bolt serial number 50xx. Both are waa63 bolts. What's interesting is the lower serial number bolt has the late war round gas holes. Is this possible?

    Mauser help

Both do. I have my own gauges for all the calibers I shoot. Closes on go, will not close on no go. Decided to use the late war bolt. Have a bcd stock matching itself on the way. Should make a very nice package.

    Mauser help

The bolt with the round holes doesn't seem any rougher than the one with the oval holes.

    Mauser help

Sorry the pictures are not great. Upon a second look, the lower bolt may well be a poorly stamped 63. The serial number on the barrel (none on the receiver) is 22xxx. Five nembers no letter. The trigger guard is stamped and marked qnw. the floor plate is steel and marked only with a 1...

    Mauser help

I recently acquired an excellent phosphate bcd 4 barreled receiver and I would like to try and put it back as close as possible to it's original configuration. There is only the serial number on the barrel and all of the other parts are a mixture of phosphate and blue stamped metal with no...

    magazine identification

Can anyone identify this magazine. I was cleaning out the back of my safe an I found this in a box of old m1carbine mags. It is a hair under 1 inch thick, 6 inches at the back and 5 3/8 at the front and 3 1/8 back to front. I'm thinking 308 because it's much to short to take 30/06, 8mm, or...
