Hey, Ski-----
This isn't a "war" without you. Ca'mon. Where are we going wrong ?
Seriously, I think the SIG 239 is one of the softest 9mm's I've ever used. It is my daily carry and I am comfortable with it. The HK P2000LE is also a nice shooter. Plastic frame, but still nice. For...
Ski--
Don't quite understand. Give some examples of a "simpler" handgun.
This Spring I was amid a bunch of shooters. We were on a farm and there was a family gathering. One petite young lady, well versed in handgun shooting, was using her husband's Ruger 9mm. Not doing too well. I let...
Remove the mag. Lock the slide back. Twist the barrel and remove it from the slide. Carefully unlock the slide and hold it to slowly let it go forward off the frame. That's it.
I am looking for a specific brand of handgun. No ammo, no swords, no chewy meat---just a gun. I have found some fine examples at good prices and I bought--after haggling a bit, of course--and had the cash in hand to back up my offer. The selection is better than at my local dealer.
bratch---
Have you fondled it ? Used it ?? Cleaned it ? Fondled it some more ??
Easy decision, isn't it ??
Remember, if you want to put it up for adoption, I have loving kin who will welcome it with open arms.
bratch,
Fondle it, take it to the range and use it, and then home for a good cleaning. Fondle it once more. If you have doubts about keeping it, --- well, I'd be happy to add it to my well used herd.
Easy decision, isn't it ??
Wal-Mart sells what looks like "ammo boxes". Look in the sporting goods dept for orange, plastic containers having a hinged top with a rubber seal. They cost about $12 and hold a lot of packaged ammo.
They are convenient, easy to store and fairly well sealed. (I'm in Florida so the A/C...
I worked long and hard, raised a family, funded my own retirement and "relaxed" at 62. Been "relaxed" for a few years. If I want a particular firearm, I buy it. If I need ammo, I buy it. If I want to practice, I pay for range time.
Better half has same attitude, but enjoys different...
One of Many is correct. During the last 20 years of my work life, I was fingerprinted and investigated an average of once a year. I recently applied for a CCW (fingerprints required) and it was granted in record time. I buy handguns when I see one I want. Never been a problem with the calls.
My P99AS (9mm) doesn't like WWB or Blazer Brass but loves the Green Box UMC. 100 rounds today went where I wanted and the gun cleaning afterwards was easy. Matter of fact, all my toys like it. So do I.
It's on sale now at $19.96/100 at Dicks.
