I know this is raising the dead, but anyway...
This arguement from what I have heard (good friend of mine is best friends with the sister, so I trust the source) is that the group of men were making cat calls at her, he told them to knock it off, and they took it personally. Not really a...
I keep seeing the Glock 9mm mentioned. I know these are popular with CHLs but I know of very few LEOs and departments that carry the 9. from my personal research (fairly limited, but still), .40 seems to be by far the most common round.
My guesses

I think the white box rule is dumb. I used to shoot at a local range that recently stopped allowing CCI blazer ammo. The reason was that to sort out the Al casing cost more in labor then they were making on the brass. They were completely cool if you were shooting wolf or other steel casing...
I know that the San Antonio police department issues Glock 22 (.40S&W) to their steet patrols. I was at school and they were recruiting. When I asked if it was a G17, G22 or G31 they got very interested (for the non-glock people the only difference in the three guns is the caliber it shoot)...
Glocks have the advantage of being like a revolver in that you simply draw, point and click. There are no levers or buttons to worry about before the gun will fire.
All four friends should research any of the guns they are thinking about buying. Once they have gotten down to three or four...
I have a guy offering to sell me this gun. It would be a carry gun so it HAS to be reliable. Anybody know anything about this model or maker? Thanks

I said yes, but actually what I do is put one round in a handy empty mag, chamber it, then put the full mag in. Easier on my fingers since I am putting a round in a empty mag with little pring tension then in a basically fun mag. If a empty mag was not avaible, yes I would top off anyway...
If a gun has ammo in it there is one in the chamber. For carry if you need the gun you need it NOW not a second down the road, once you have had time to rack the slide. Also racking the slide takes both hands, what if one hand is busy protecting yourself?

Now you are creating a QMs nitemare. 4 times as many kinds of ammo to keep up with. 4 times as many things to make sure you get the right amount of each. 444 times the problems.
