yeah i have 2 mags and they are acting the same, whether empty, full, or half full. I have a new 15 round magazine coming in the mail tomorrow, along with a 33 round mag (gotta get one before the dems ban them :neener:) that I will try as well. I suppose the best thing to do is compare it...

ok, I just tried that, and its exactly the same. it is definitely getting some resistance from the mag catch..

it is exactly the same when the magazine is empty though... the resistance is not the magazine compressing but the mag catch rubbing the side of the mag in a way it didn't before. at least thats what I think...
