i just picked up a new bulldog from a dealer and had a problem with it. out of the 5 chambers, i couldn't fit rounds into 3 of them. there was a problem with the star where the little triangle tabs were misshaped and had burrs, and prevented the rounds from seating. charter wanted me to send...
nice looking gun. i had a tucker for a smith K frame and i found the cylinder would bind against my belt when the gun was adjusted with a forward rake. i had to carry the gun with a backward rake in order to draw it. other than that, it was a very well constructed holster.

if you are asking about a load for a smith snubbie, i like the old standard, remington 158 gr. +p lead hollow points. i don't find it difficult shooting that load in my snubs, especially in follow up shots.

i'm 61 and a retired le officer having spent 27 years on the force. unlike some cops, i'm into guns and have been shooting since the mid 60's. i carry all the time "off duty." no exceptions. and also in the house!! currently, i'm employed at a police equipment store that sells firearms...
i'm a retired cop and after carrying and shooting guns for over 40 years, i can remember every incident where a revolver failed. one was a new smith 19 where on the first range visit, the cylinder locked up after 6 mag rounds. another was when i broke, i guess, the rebound spring on another...

That's a...
i've owned and shot a bunch of revolvers since the early 70's. was even carrying a revolver when i entered police work in 1973, and still carried one when i retired in 1999. i've never had an unreliable revolver. then, i've never owned anything but smiths, colts, and one ruger. i've had...

the 296 is a great find in california. i've been looking for one recently and have never located one. the only ones i saw for sale were when they were in production. same with the 242.

i've had/have two sets of eagle secret service grips. one for a ruger sp 101, and the other for a j frame smith. unfortunately, both of them were not properly fitted during manufacturing. but, they are nice looking.
