Another sportsman goes to the happy hunting grounds.

I'm going through a rough patch right now guys and girls. My father in law passed last week. He was a shooter and a hunter, and loved cowboy guns. Many is the time we would talk for hours about all aspects of my favorite hobby and sport. You who know me through posts on sites like this, or...

Renaming the AR15 and other "Assault Rifles"

My guns only assault paper, plastic, and glass... I still call a snub nosed .38 a "Saturday night special" and any .44 with a long barrel a "Dirty Harry" Heck, I even have a totally decked out "Mall Ninja Zombie Killer" with all the bells and whistles... and lasers... If I had a belt-fed...

    What's your "fun gun"

Fun gun... I will always love my Romanian Kalashniclone, but, my new favorite fun gun is my GSG AK-22. Great gun, lot's of "WOW" factor... Pistol is the Colt Commander Shotgun is the Mossberg 500 in 20 gauge. My wife and kids love that one!

    practice...

I'm curious as to how many of us here have guns that are practiced with that aren't firearms. For many years, I've had a Nerf gun and a small laser-equipped airsoft gun near my computer. I often handle (fondle) them and shoot them at the targets that each came with, that are located...

    I hate Brass Rats,,,

Backyard range... This is among the many reasons I love my backyard range. The area behind my house was one of the selling points. It's not grand and fancy, but it is certainly functional. I like that I can shoot whatever I want at whatever I want, and nobody can get upset. The kids have been...

    The ABC's of firearms...

To conceal or not to conceal? That is a good question

Believe me, it happens... Used to be a time when you'd just get asked: "Are you a cop?" Now, everybody has a fully-automatic, high-capacity assault phone in their hand, and they are not afraid to use it!:D

To conceal or not to conceal? That is a good question

I can carry unconcealed, but, I just choose not to. I prefer to carry concealed because the tourists and anti-gunners don't freak out that way. Here in Vermont, you don't need a permit or a LEO's permission to carry concealed, and as a matter of fact, (I once called the VSP Main Office in...

"Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good ol' days"

I'm sorry for tripping down memory lane... I was just talking about the guns stuff, not all the political crap in the "good old days" I didn't realize Naomi was pro-hunting but not pro-guns, I knew that civil rights have come a loooooong way since the 50's and 60's, and I hope that you all...

"Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good ol' days"

This morning, I happened to be listening to this song on the way to the bus stop and got to thinking about the good old days: My dad telling me he used to be able to walk into any hardware store and buy a 1903A3 and a box of .30-06 for $15.00 The time when store shelves were bowing under...

    lets tax ammo

Read the 2nd again, but this time, read it slowly... Make sure you re-read that part where it states: "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
