Is the 5.45 the same case as 7.62/39, just necked down?

    5.45 saiga?

O really! I did not know that, I will have to look into the situation more closely, thanks. Will the 5.45 Ar still take the same mags?

    5.45 saiga?

the 54R would be cool, but why all the hoopla about 5.45/39? wouln't 223 be better? At the bigger gun shows I go to there in not much 5.45 ammo around, not like 7.62 and 223

    3 gun headcam video w/ pov.1

Sorry, I could not watch that for long it was starting to make me motion sick. Interesting set the scope for long range and the off set red dot for close. I gotta puke.

How tight is the bushing on a 1911 supposed to be?

Seabee, I'm not sure why you are retracting your slide at all when turning your bushing. I lock the thumb safety so the slide can not move while pushing in on the spring plug, turn bushing 90* to the right, let the spring and plug out, turn to the left passing bushing feet through the spring...

    Almost Outted By My Niece!

Kevin, depending on the type of 1911, hammer down is pretty safe but kinda slow. Series 80 Colts, Kimber 'II's have a firing pin block, (probally the ONLY time they do any good), and even with out the block the firing pin does not protrude from the breach face with the hammer down. But I agree...

    IDPA Card board silhouette source?

Also Speedwell in NJ has them. If its just for practice you can cut up 1 to make a template, just cut on the perfs trace the out side with marker or spray paint then do the lines between -1 and -3 with pencil so you can not see them at distance

IDPA qualifier ... what to expect?

Every IDPA club is required to run at least one classifier a year (please don't call it a qualifier). Our club brakes it up into stages and runs it as our monthly match, so its pretty painless. If you have a good SO and help reloading mags and someone to paste it only takes 15 minutes or less to...

    Quick question about Aks...

Does it say that the five round guns are single stack guns? I have seen five round double stack AK mags. Is thare a big price diference? I bought two single stack guns a few years ago for $175 each, they came with a 5 and a 10 round mag. It was a good deal and I like the guns a lot.

    380 in a .38?

a friend has a S+W 9m/m revolver that does not use moon clips but has "teeth" in the cylinder that grab the cartridge to eject the spent cases, I'm not sure of the model number but made for only a short time, pretty neat gun.

    Question about holster/draw style

As icecorps said the biggest issue is sweeping yourself on the draw, and I thought "Cavalry Draw" is with the gun in the standard hip position but butt foward, not this far back.
