Lee Perfect Powder Measure Leaks Powder

I have had the same problem with this measure, especially with AA#7 and H380. I just started putting a paper plate under it while I charge cases to catch the few grains that leak. The measure has proven to be very accurate over the long run, so I just use the paper plate for easy clean up.

    Bullet Shopping Etiquette

I typically know what I want from prior loads, but if I am trying something new, I generally ask a clerk or employee to ope the box for me. Most of the time I do this when I am serious about making the purchase, since you really should have the opportunity to inspect the goods prior to forking...

Is this a good price on the Lee 4 hole turret?

Get the Classic Cast Turret I upgraded to the Classic Cast Turret and it has functioned flawlessly. It is rock solid and has given great performance everything from .380ACP to .300RUM. I highly recommend spending the money to get this press.

Your favorite current production .41 Mag?

S&W M57 Mountain Gun. Extremely well made all around revolver, and a great cartridge.

    350 Rem Mag

Great Info Barry, Thanks so much for the post. It didn't seem like there is much interest in this cartridge. I appreciate the information, as its always a bit of trial an error on powder choices with a caliber that is not loaded as widely. I am glad to have your thoughts on AA2230 as I was...

    .357 SIG powder selection

I have been loading .357SIG for about five months since the acquisition of a 2022. I have tried several different powders and have loaded mainly 124gr XTPs. It seems to favor Blue Dot and most recently I have had really good performance from AA#7. I also broke down and bought a Lee Factory Crimp...

Self Defense loads for 38 Special

I recently tested TB with 125gr XTPs and 158gr JHC from Sierra. Both performed fairly well in my Taurus M85. Recoil was managable, as well as flash, etc. I found from an accuracy standpoint that the 158gr loads were much more accurate giving me ~2.5 inch grounds at 7yds. 125gr XTP 5.0 gr TB...

    Gun for the ranges

Welcome to THR. When I shoot pistol, i generally start every session with 50 rounds of 22LR in my Colt Woodsman at 25yds. I find that this generally focuses me, good sight picture, good trigger control, before I move to large bore. I always shoot well with whatever pistol follows. I think that a...

    350 Rem Mag

Is anyone reloading .350 REM MAG? I finally broke down and bought a set of dies. The price of factory, which I have been shooting is just getting ridiculous. I have H380 & IMR 4350 on hand, and was thinking about buying AA 2230. There seems to be plenty of data in the manuals (Lee, Hornady) but...

Automatics that just don't "do it" for you

Glock (of which I own two). Completely reliable and effective, shoots very well, but I never really liked them from a stylistic point of view.

    Another .41 Question

That makes sense to me now. I have only previously loaded jacketed bullets in .41 so I have not handled many of the cast bullets. I was looking at the Oregon Trail website last night and they appear to have good prices on lots of 500. I am going to shoot the Titegroup loads tomorrow and am going...

    Another .41 Question

I am pretty much guilty of doing exactly that. I had never reloaded anything but jacketed bullets for the M57, but I got a Ruger in .41 and started shooting more of the caliber. So then I decided I should see what I could do with lead maybe loading at milder velocities. I went to Cabela's an...

    Another .41 Question

Steve, Thanks for the knowledge, I didn't think to look at their site, since I had the 2007 Annual magazine, guess I should have it bookmarked by now. CZ I am going to pursue AA#9 next trip to McBride's in Austin. Trail Boss has been giving me good target/practice loads, but for...

    Hunting boar with an airgun???

Bad Idea I saw this ad last night in American Rifleman, and thought pretty much the same as many above. Sounds like just some sort of stunt. Hogs are big here in Texas and small bore centerfires sometimes just show them where it charge. Last year I took a 350 Rem Mag. Its hard to understand why...
