My Drill Sergeant told me about a time in Iraq when he was a E-5 Sgt and a gunner on a tank. A combatant stepped in front of his tank hip firing an AK. The whole crew kinda sat there dumbfounded till DS Lopez lit the guy up with the coax.
Yes visibility is heavily limited, but in an urban setting, tanks should be supported by infantry. Think back to Fury or Saving Private Ryan and you'll see what I mean. The infantry cover the tank's soft spots and the tank is able to take out anything that is a threat. I speak from experience...
If the offer could be seen as low-balling, they are wasting my time. I've gone to listing what I'm willing to take firm so I don't have to deal with them. This guy dealing with a lowballer made me laugh so hard.
Warning: Foul language is used and he drops the n-word a time or two. Watch them...
I used to sell one gun to get another. However, I always end up wanting it back so I've decided to not sell any guns unless it's a financial need. There is no shame in selling a gun to pay bills. As to the price people are offering, there are many people who throw out low ball offers simply...
That could be said of guns in general. The vast majority of gun owners never end up using their guns for self defense.
The extra background check is acceptable but it would be so horribly back-logged if people could buy new FA firearms so it would need reworking as well.
I remember the P-07 was on sale for just under $400 for a while there. I had one, it was a good pistol, but just didn't work good for me. My friend was much better with it than I was.
You wouldn't even really need a new rifle, either get a FA lower or a jig to drill the holes and the cost of the sear parts. That could make all current AR's into FA or burst. As to the gentlemen who said something about the cost, Most probably would rarely use the FA/Burst function, but I'd...
You can get a decent AR for far less than 1200. You can build your own PSA for between $500 and $600 or even get a Colt 6920 (overrated IMO, but some say the best) for $750-$800 on sale. In AK's you can get a WASR for ~$600. They used to be considered junk but they have increased in quality...
Mrgunsngear did a review on the P-09 and I like his reviews because he frequents another forum I am a member of.

That is what this whole post is about. Colt is trying to, maybe blackmail isn't the word, but strong arm dealers into buying their 1911's so that the dealers can get the ARs. If they don't, Colt won't sell to them at all. This seems like a very short-sighted strategy based on the notion that...
Sounds like they are trying to bank on their name. It sounds like the mentality is that dealers can't afford NOT to have Colt firearms so Colt can set the terms. The truth as has been previously mentioned is that there are a lot of AR and 1911 makers out there now.
