What's an indoor firing range? Absolutely try to find legal, open space. Oh what a relief it is.
Then you never have to worry about how loud those reports are.
I've not possessed many but I've come across a few recently in a short time that delight me.
The first was a Stevens 311 in parts, in bags. After some finessing and 'parts putting', the owner claims it shoots great but I haven't had time to find out.
The second was a Savage (1)67 that was...
I use both plugs and muffs. I did when I was working an SR-71 flightline and I'm now semi partially deaf because of that. I think I use that as an excuse to occasionally ignore my wife, but that's another story.

I did that to my Sigma last time I was working on it. Misplaced (royally screwed up the re-assembly) the slide latch spring and it locked the slide open after every shot. About four shots before I retired it for the day. . .:o
I've only got one KT, a P3AT, and I love it. Harsh as hell to shoot but VERY DEPENDABLE. I carry it every day and have no fear it will let me down when the chips are down!
Yeah, it's showing it's external wear already but it has character, and I like that. . .
