Which grips for this Ruger Super Blackhawk?

I already have checked out Altamont! I have a set of their grips on my snubbie and I love them. They were the first place I looked. Thanks for the tip though.

Which grips for this Ruger Super Blackhawk?

Thanks a ton for the responses guys! Yes, it is indeed a .44 Mag and I should have mentioned that fact. I hadn't considered that it could be a Bisley and I'm glad I asked for some help. It's also interesting that this is an uncommon variant of the Blackhawk with fluted cylinders. I read the...

Which grips for this Ruger Super Blackhawk?

My father-in-law (awesome guy) just gave me a few of his old guns and there was a Ruger Super Blackhawk in the box. It has a 7.5 inch barrel and the serial number dates it to 1986. I wanted to get a new set of grips for this revolver, but I got really confused when I searched for them. It...

Nice shooter for 8-year old boy?

I guy I work with has one of these, but he highly recommends the Marshmallow Blaster over the Shooter. (LINK). They also come in camo for us Southerners. :D IIRC, his son is about seven and loves it. I think their dog does most of the cleanup!

Concealed Carry during the GRE (graduate record exam)

Vector - Well done sir! You just made a lucid and reasonable argument. I obviously don't agree with you, but that is completely beside the point. We have used this forum to debate a topic. My basic take is this: If it's legal, go ahead and carry. Your basic take is: In this case, the stakes...

Concealed Carry during the GRE (graduate record exam)

Look, I understand that I'm sounding argumentative. My real desire is to understand the idea that carrying to the GRE is any different than CCW anywhere else. What better place to have that debate than here?

Concealed Carry during the GRE (graduate record exam)

I deleted my rant earlier, but I just can't take it any more. I cannot believe what I'm reading here. The original poster clearly stated that it is LEGAL to carry at the test site and that the test is given at "a really sketchy feeling place and a lot of crime goes on there." A whopping 10...

Concealed Carry during the GRE (graduate record exam)

EDIT: Nevermind, the test is over. I hope you did well and enjoy graduate school. I did!

    Help me with my SP101

The guys at Gemini Custom (LINK) can both eliminate the end shake and bead blast your Ruger for you. Plus, they can do a whole bunch of other awesome stuff. I almost bought an SP101 just so I could have those guys do their treatment.

Concealed Carry during the GRE (graduate record exam)

Hey Perch - When I took the GRE, nobody searched me or asked me to empty my pockets. They damn sure didn't ask me to lift my shirt! I seriously wouldn't worry about it if it is LEGAL to carry there. My exam was off campus BTW. Good luck in graduate school, and here's my advice for anyone...

A THR thread is going to be published as a novel. Mr. Nightcrawler is now Dead Six

I'll buy it, but I have a comment. We need more than one Monster Hunter book per year. Seriously. Also, the next novel needs WAY more of Owen's dad in it. The "kitchen gun" scene was hilarious.

    Hornady ftx

I carry FTX .357 loads in my snubbie. Ironically, the polymer is there to increase expansion since velocity is lost with the short barrel. I really believe most gun laws are written by people that don't know anything about guns.
