This is an original gun from mid 19th century, smooth bore and no sights.
At 20 meters almost all balls have punched the paper.
Load is light due to the age :
40 grs BP, 100grs cormeal and ball 75 without patch (no room for it).
Recoil is not very regular due to poor ball quality...

There are no sight but the barrel is round like a pipe and the idea is to align both ends of the barrel with the muzzle being only slightly visible (like a rising sun) on top of the tang.
I have also tried to shoot duelist at 25 meters :
14 balls out of 15 punched the paper...

40grs BP, cornmeal and patched cal.65 ball.

The pistol is from a pair and a number "1" is on the tang.
That's a nicely shaped .45 bullet too. Did you cast it? If so, please give the source for the mould.

A lot of work was necessary to get it functional but now it shoots :
20 bullets shot at 25meters, duelist.
18 out of 20 are within the black zone.
Very uncommon pistol, fully engraved with rifled barrel.
