    Actually, I bought my first 1961 Mountie in 1961, new from Kliens in Chicago. Shipped to CT. it was $71.00. Traded it for a Savage 110 243 in 1970. Bought this used, but mint, 1961 in 2010.

    I have a 1961 Mountie In my case, Remingtons cases were just about ejected, sometime smokestacking, while Winchester cases flew out. I would like to know what the head thicknesses of each are.
