I purchased a Springfield EMP 3" in 9mm for my EDC My friend has a Springfield Micro Compact 3" in .45 for his EDC. He also just got a wonderful, very well kept, used S&W 1911Sc 4.25" that he'll probably carry as well. None of them ever modified. These we are trusting ours and our families loves...

I carry a SA EMP in 9mm as my EDC. Very easy to conceal. It sits in an Occidental Phoenix IWB holster.

Bigfatdave - re: FlyboyJS, have you tried to get a permit? I have tried and I'm in the process over here in Sac County. I've done the app and turned in, I'm just awaiting the Sheriff's letter now. One of these days

I just want to carry

I actually purchased my first firearm in 2010...2011 I'm hoping to get my CCW and purchase a firearm for CCW :-)

Combination of family and friends...After talking with some of them, it was apparent that I had no other means of protection, so I sought out some training and purchased a firearm.

Very cool indeed...I'm hoping my wife, after she gives birth to our little bun in the oven, gets the bug to go out and get her CCW. She's shot before and has had a training session with a retired LEO that we know.

I'm definitely learning some stuff here...I have a 3 year old and another child on the way. I'm in the process of getting my CCW as well, so this is all great information. Thanks for starting this thread Wedge
