My primary carry is the SP-101 with the 2 1/4" barrel in .38 Special (hammerless).
There is a slight sacrifice with the size but I wanted something that comfortably fit between the J and K frames.
I find it not to be a problem for concealment.

Actually, the same thing applies to the charge holes in the cylinders of revolvers. Attentiveness to proper cleaning will however alleviate the problem in both cases.
Not a bad idea but if the reciever and bolt match, chances are pretty good that everything is OK. I personally haven't run into a C&R yet that had bad head spacing.
Thanks garrett...I am looking at the Leupold Rifleman series in the 3-9X40. I decided on the .243 because my sometimes-arthritic shoulder gives me fits with the 06 and .308.
