JustsayMo,
Great Tale and to bad about the Win. VS Marlin Loss, but that arguement asbeen going on longer then either one of us has been alive. Would love to see that video(whenever you figure out how to post) (I havent a clue either). Keep on..keeping on. life is too short to be off the...
Okay, time for me to chime in. First: I own both a Winchester 30-30 & 35 Rem I also own 3 Marlins. The rifle I take to the woods to "Kill" deer is the Marlin. If I'm just going out to the range, I take one of the Win.. I love them both, but if I had to "fight" with one of the it would be the...

As with the rest of the gang I have had both and own both (just 1 Winchester at present and thats an 1895 .405 caliber inherited from my grandfather) but perfer the Marlin. I concur with the looseness and the inheraint ability of winchester to "collect" junk while in the field, My biggest...
Thxs for all the advice(I had alrady done all of it before posting ) but would tell you when I took the rifle apart I could have planted entire crops in the receiver and chamber. It will chamber a .30-.30 round and extract it no problem. As Far as I can remember the base of a 30-30 rd and a...

Why Not
Long thread or not, Marlins(wether 336's of "other") are like good friend syou have spoken to in a while. You never get tired of talking with them and they are there when you need them:)
My fault for not saying
CJ,
My fault for not saying. I knew that the 336 RC comes in both .35 cal (Rem)and .30-.30 , my 336 RC is a .30-.30. But does the year still appear to be correct? Thank-you for your quick response. Where do you find all the serial # information anyway?
Hooray for Marlin 336
I have owned a Marlin Lever action since I was a very small lad in North Dakota (Now in Maine). I currently own a 30AS and a 336 RC. I will never part with either one. I love Marlins lever actions (not Winchesters, let me hit you in the face lever action). Okay enough...
