I like the gun so I persevered. It works fine now. I couldn't in good conscience sell it with that flaw. I guess that I could have pressed them to exchange it, but in the Peoples Republic of New York it isn't that easy.
I have a first production 9c. It shot 4 inches to the right and it had a dead trigger. It had been to Smith 3 times. Accuracy was fixed when the put on night sights for me on the second return, which corrected the accuracy problem. It was last fixed in 2016. It seems ok now. I have a few hundred...
You are so right. A few years ago I found a 22/32 kit gun, 1954 vintage in New Jersey. It was owned by a older gent who died and his wife sold it to a FFL. I was lucky to get it as it is almost NIB with papers. It did not seem to be shot much, probably placed in a drawer. Paid 500 and change...
Mine is a shade less brilliant but almost a twin. I can't seem to the get picture right or I would post one. I need a photo tutorial. Thanks for sharing and your input. My mind is made up.
Thanks to all. That settles it. I'm going to keep the 19, especially after seeing Old Dogs picture. I must have been out of my mind. I feel bad I even considered selling it. I love the old blued Smith's. It makes more sense to pick up a heavier weight gun in that caliber.
Thanks again.
Hi,
Long time no see. I have a question.
A few years ago I purchased a target model 19-4 in excellent shape for about 350 dollars. I have not have fired it for awhile. I would like to handgun hunt with a 357 mag load, preferable the BB 180 hard casts, as well as have more leeway for using...
I came across this article a few minutes ago. It appears that the ban was already placed in the regs as of January 2015, so the comment time of 30 days was bogus. The article mistakenly stated 2014, but was corrected in the editors note...
I believe new they are under 400dollars. Great pistol. You may have been able to do better, but I wouldn't worry about it. I have a camper with a 5.5 barrel and I love it. I carry it when at my camp. It's not a sexy looking but who cares. It has been a great tool. I can't wait to shoot it again.
