Would you consider either of these houses backyard shooting appropriate?

Blackbeard, That would mean I would have no ranges in my area at all! I did a search of all of the ranges in my area and not one would meet your criteria.

Would you consider either of these houses backyard shooting appropriate?

Not sure why so many people are against the OP setting up a range? Are most people from very rural areas? Obviously it's your call op, but I would have no problems setting up a range in either property with a VERY good backstop and bullet trap. I'm going to try to attach some picture of...

    Mossberg 500- Trigger Assembly Removal

Just picked up a fairly old Mossberg 500. Trying to get it apart to give it a good cleaning and I can't get the trigger assembly out. I removed the trigger housing pin and tried lifting out the rear of the assembly, and nothing. I get a tiny bit of wiggle (very tiny), but at no point does it...

    .357 Bullets without a cannelure

Thanks for the replies, all are very helpful. I'm going to trim my brass and set a light roll crimp and see how it goes. If I'm not happy with the results, I'll pick up taper crimp die.

    .357 Bullets without a cannelure

I just got a box of Berry's Preferred Plated Bullets for .357 Magnum. They're 158gr, hollow point. They have no crimping groove. Can I roll crimp them, or do I need to get a taper crimp die? I currently have the Lee 4 die set (with separate crimp die) and the RCBS 3 die set (seat/crimp same...

    Lee carbide resizing die scratching

Hey guys, it worked like a charm. I polished the carbide with 400 grit emery cloth and lubed the casings. Re-sized 100 casings and everything went smoothly. I'm going to stick with the stainless steel and water. I really like how clean the casings get, especially the primer pockets. Plus, I...

    Lee carbide resizing die scratching

Excellent guys, thank you very much! It all makes sense now. You guys just saved me a lot of headache. I will polish the die with 400 grit emery paper and lube the cases from now on. I plan on throwing the cases in a large zip lock bag, do a quick spray and shake it up. Thanks, Gary

    Uberti 1875 Outlaw fouling issues

Foto, Good point. That's what I'm currently shooting, aprrox 40gr of powder. I've heard that Swiss burns a little cleaner than Goex, but if I go with a lighter load (20-25gr) what do I fill that empty space with?

    Lee carbide resizing die scratching

jiwit, no they are not nickle plated. I can see a dull spot in the die and the scratches in the brass are right where the dull spot is. Perhaps that dull spot is not a scratch but dirt or something that I need to more aggressively clean? I did clean it with degreaser, but didn't go crazy trying...

    Lee carbide resizing die scratching

Let me start out by saying I'm new to reloading. I am reloading 38 special and while resizing the brass I noticed 6 or 7 scratches running along the length of the casing. I looked inside the die and I could clearly see scratches on the die. So, I called Lee and had them send me a new...
