Last weekend I took the scoped 10/22 to the steel plinking lane, knowing it needed to be sighted in because it had a new base. I shot it a few times, adjusted the turrets, and started pinging steel at 25 yards. One more adjustment ought to do it, so I rotated a turret...and the whole scope...

A few years ago I decided I'd try my hand at IDPA. The first time I was holstered up and then realized I have left ALL my magazines at home. The second time I forgot the keys to unlock my guns :banghead: 45 minutes -in each direction- of time AND gas wasted! :D

While not having an extraordinary ammount of experience with it, I have shot Lake City surplus 7.62NATO in my Savage 12BVSS with decent luck. Because it's "war" ammo designed for rat-a-tat-tat accuracy, I bought it for plinking and I shoot match ammo and XM118LR (175gr at 2580fps) for target...

I'd say it hits just a wee bit harder than a bitch. That's just hearsay, not personal experience :neener:

AD/NDs are only possible if one of the rules are broken. Revising the rules won't change the fact that a discharge was caused by gross negligence and inadherence to a rule. For instance: Murder is against the law. Someone kills a man, the rule is not at fault. Adding another rule won't change...

The two things that matter the most: that it "fit" you, and that it be reliable. My HK USP Compact 9mm is the most reliable handgun I've encountered and certainly is heads, shoulders, and beltline above my SIG P220ST and S&W 1911 in terms of reliability. It's not the easiest for me to shoot...
