    The Springfield has Arrived

GregCoteLLC has the 15 round MecGar Hi Power magazine for $24. This IS the mag that comes with the Springfield SA 35, just without the SA logo marking...

    Preferred 1911 grips?

I really like the G10 grips. These are from Stoner CNC.

Expanding my accumulation of S&Ws. Any models to avoid?

Mod. 66-2 .357 mag. There's just something special about 3 inch barrel K frames. Actually, 3 inch J, K, L, and N frames are all pretty special.

Opinons on the Beretta 92FS Trigger

There’s a wide range of opinion here on the 92fs trigger. I think handguns are a real personal preference thing. I really love the big Beretta. The double action trigger pull is very much like a good double action revolver. The single action is fairly light and crisp. The military spec for...

Nice to still find a snub 686

Nice. Congrats on the find. I have the same model. I bought it new in the early 80's. It was a limited run for distributor Lew Horton. It came with a S&W branded thumb-break holster. It's heavy, but to me that's not a bad thing. I can actually stand to shoot magnums through it. I think you will...

    Aww no boom!

I believe it must be shot with a bullet moving at a minimum 2200 fps.

    CZ75B Decision?

Pilot, I concur how, um, careful owners manuals are worded. Colt manuals almost make it sound too dangerous to load the firearm at all. To the OP, sorry that I have contributed somewhat helping this thread drift. I am a fan of the CZ 75 series in all of it's variations. Each type has it's...

    CZ75B Decision?

So, the manual is FALSE by recommending carrying in a condition the pistol was not intended for? Okay. Don't see how that protects from lawsuits. I believe if it were originally meant to be carried cocked and locked, it wouldn't have that big hammer and that tiny safety. I hope you don't...

    CZ75B Decision?

The Hi Power has commonly been carried cocked and locked, true, especially in recent decades. It wasn't designed to be carried that way. My owners manual recommends carrying with the hammer down, whether or not a round is chambered.
