just to clear up . . . it was a 40 yard indoor range thatr I eventually went to I only got that grouping one time with the ruger, with one set of 5 rounds. Every other set was all over the place with both guns.

I shoot it standing up rifle in my hands. The mauser is acurate no? I pretty much had the same performance with it.
