I'll second TAC and Hornady bullets. I have found great loads (both near max published data) for both their 55gr FMJ and SP that's shoots MOA-ish in many different ARs.

That could work well, I just found some coated 38 rn on my shelf that don't have a crimp groove. I used a taper crimp from my 9mm dies so as to not dig in too much. Mind you, these are loaded very light for 38 and according to my testing notes from a while ago there was no bullet movement on...

Glad you asked, I've looked at those a few times and did some light digging but never got enough to answer my query. I'd guess they would hold up fine with 38 loads, both pistol and rifle, but with full tilt 357 I would be concerned.
