I was told that its the vibration more than the heat or cold that will mess with propellant. I shoot CMP 30.06 from the 80's that's been stored and shipped all over the world, and never had as much as a hang-fire. When I was researching it a few years back, vibration seemed to be the big no-no...
Touch them? Yes. Load them? Nooooo. I always had access, but never did anything foolish until he got me my first Remington .22 when I was 13, but then he never took me to the range but maybe once. He was getting up in years (77 years old, yes I was born when he was 64) and always a...
Good points, all. And yes, I agree that a sane mind can't think like a deranged one, and taking head-shots at point blank range does not require a whole lot of practice. Sick bastard.
Thats part of what I don't get; if your sole intent was to go on a rampage, wouldn't you get two of the same guns? or at least the same caliber? This was one seriously disturbed, miserable bastard, but the gear he was wearing looked like it was well thought out, and he apprently knew how to...
Sorry if this is a repeat question. From watching the video last night, this freak seemed to have equipped himself with a lot of forethought and research. Since his room-mates had no idea he was into guns, I can't imagne he was sitting around reading G&A in the dorm all the time, so where did he...
My experience is that there are a lot more "Hunters" that would gladly throw the "Shooters" to the wolves, than vice-versa.
I don't hunt, but I'm not against it, nor do I do anything to support those that do oppose it.
I've ran into plenty of 'fudds that think the only reason to own a gun...
Shotgun News is the best bang for the buck, and you'll get a few free issues of Shooting along with it, usually.
Avoid Guns and Ammo. It's just a printed infomercial.
Quote Glamdring: I actually talked to their gunsmith back in 1999 or 2000 about that very issue. He said he didn't think they would ever make a 10mm or 45acp carbine.
So this gunsmith never saw a Marlin Camp-45?
Crappy design overall (plastic trigger group etc, crappy bolt hold-open...
I'd take a Camp-45 w/ a red-dot and a Mossberg 590A1. With a 1911 as a backup.
Only need two types of ammo, .45 JHP and 12GA 00. Well maybe a few slugs too. And some rock-salt loads, just to watch 'em fizz a little.
Oh Wait...I already have those. Looks like I'm set.
I need an M-14 clone and a M1 carbine before the swear Jerry (spit) Brown in as AG here. Then maybe a FAL parts kit and an SKS.
Lord help us. Moonbeam is the top lawyer in CA come January.
All the bolt guns can wait.
Thats my new priority list!
...and I can have them delivered, sometimes with serially matching bayonets made by Victorinox, right to my door.
OK, I've got the C&R...just tell me where I can get a matching rifle and Victorinox bayonet and I'm THERE. Seriously...who is selling that combo? I've been drooling at...
I'm building her (and daughter) a dollhouse. In exchange, she wont gripe about me spending $$ on a rather large gunsafe. Once the safe is in-place..she'll never know what lurks inside...they all look the same to her.
And besides...it's for the safety of THE CHILDREN. Kismet!
