I had the straight grip for a while and foolishly let it go. I still have a 12ga field model, made in 1941 with adjustable choke. Great brush gun for small game.

Its my favorite hunting these days. Along with trout fishing and turkey hunting, it provides the most fun you can have. You can shoot one deer and your done, or hunt every day for months and take 5 or 7 squirrels depending on where you are.

UK My ancestor's left England in 1632. I am proud of my heritage, but I am so glad I don't live there. I can't imagine the mindset of being that far out and actually having an impact on the culture. In reality, when they express these idea's, no one should be paying any attention to them.

doves Have to wait till the 15th here. But worth the wait. RI is the only New Eng state that has a dove season.

Win 101 I have my late Dad's 101, 20 ga skeet. It is in like new condition, and my nice day, no rain in sight, grouse and woodcock gun.:D

22 mag I would suggest using a heavy bullet. Fed makes a 50gr that is slower and shoots well in my gun.

eglin Have not hunted but trained there several times. On the snake boots I would say yes. I recall having to detache a pigmy rattler from my GI boots one night. Thank the Lord it did not penetrate to me. :eek:

favorite big game knife I have a lot of trout/bird knives, (my favorites) but for bigger stuff I like my Blackjack 4" drop point. Great balance and holds it's edge.

Dove opener Several choices here, RI is the only New Eng state with a dove season, and there are plenty around. I like a franchi 48AL 12ga with AA 8's. Also have a Win 101 20ga skeet/skeet, and a SKB 100 28" mod/full. Been surfing the web for new recipies also. Dove breast in white wine...

Ithica I have a 37 12 ga, old threads on barrel, and no disconnect on trigger. Somboby along the way cut the stock short. I plan to add a pad and lengthen it. Should make a nice rabbit/grouse gun.
