I agree with Dibbs, don't waste your time trying to reload Steelcase shells. If you want to save a little $ look around in your area and see if you can locate any decent used 54R brass you can pick up. If not and if you are not already active in them, join and hit up some of the gun and...
Kool. Congrats on the upgrade :) I went from a pair of single stage presses to a Lyman All American 8 turrent press & I like it. I still have my C&H Super "C" with a lyman conversion ram though ;) ...
If that's the cartridge that I think it is, good luck cuz it's definitely an oddball. I had a 6.5 Carcano and I believe it was chambered in the same cartridge and from what I remember the only place I could very sporadically get projectables from to load for it was from Graf & Sons in...
Yep, I've been looking for some bulk (pulled) 174 gn fmj .308 pills as well as some 50ish gn 6.5 projectiles to load up a bunch of 6.5 Swede brass. You'd think there'd be a market for bulk 6.5 p ills with the Creedmoor craze but I haven't found any yet.
Oh boy, way to open up a can of worms. I can see both sides of the discussion and I admit it might be nice at times to be able to make your brass look like new if you're trying to recondition some old rare oxidized brass or something but for the majority of people I think using a vibratory...
I grew up riding and I rode for a number of years before I ever learn to drive a cage and I've owned for more bikes than cages put together. Most of us all know bike exhaust generally runs pretty damn hot hence the term "pipe tatoo". Granted some exhaust runs a little cooler than others...
Very nice and I agree I'm a big fan of blonde stain to show off nice wood grain patterns and Knots and such myself :) . Pretty much all of my factory ammo I keep locked up in a nice kencraft cabinet in the bedroom and all my reloading components and loaded ammo in a Stack-On on tactical:)...
I've used Green Dot for 22-250, 30-30 Win & 7.62x39 with load data from the 11th edition Speer manual and some load data from castboolits website that might be worth a look-see for comparison data
It's all good and I agree :) with things being the way they are I would suggest stocking up on what you can especially in bulk, then work with what you have to get the best consistency you can from what you have on hand :) ...
Until recently and like most everyone else I also believe in loading for almost everything I own. I started reloading with the 44 spl / Mag and it's the only pistol cartridge I loaded for. I have a bunch of factory 9mm but brass is cheap and I'll probably find a few more Herters Dies online I...
