Can you explain the slide mounted safety's disadvantage? I've shot Beretta's 92FS and the Taurus 92 and didn't really notice the difference in safety. Is it because the frame mounted one is easier to engage/disengage?

Well with the Camp/Field combo (which I ordered today, they are discontinued), I get one of each so I should be good unless I want a rifled one for sabots. Also I found their barrel prices to be similar in price to Mossy and Remington barrels at about $150.

I checked the PDF of the manual online. It says nothing about any barrels being shot or slug only...

So after taking in everyone's advice and doing much reading, I think I've settled on what model I want. I am going to look for a Winchester SXP Camp/Field Combo. This way I can get the 18" for HD and a 28" (or 26") for everything else in one package. I know accessories for them are limited...
