    Easy Parts Cleaning (tutorial)

Mr. Eagle: You are most welcome sir !!! The vibratory cleaner & walnut media will clean & polish the cases somewhat. However, when you dump out the walnut & replace it with treated corncob media, the brass cases will look like 24k gold after a few hours !!!!! The home-brew "sonic cleaner"...

Not a 1911 guru. Help me out with this.

In terms of $$$$ it is not of any great value, but if it is safe to shoot, works reliably, & it satisfies whatever you need it to do, then shoot, maintain properly, & enjoy for the remainder of your life and then pass it along before you pass away.

When is a barrel considered worn out

Mr. Stalker: Non-magnum barrels will last approximately 10,000 rounds & magnums shooting full-power ammo exclusively will last about 1500 to 2000 rounds. That is one of the reasons i have only shot standard non-magnum cartridges for the past 50 years.

Mr. Jester: Your comment regarding my use of liquid carnuba auto wax on firearms, was your intent an "atta-boy" or a "i can't believe someone would say something that stupid on this website" because i can assume either. If that is a "dis" directed at what i said, then you are in direct...

Mr. Truth: The problem is not with the magazines, but with the "spring follower"---followers are cheap compared to the price of new magazines. Brownells & gil hebard guns sells them in steel & plastic.

    Easy Parts Cleaning (tutorial)

Yo kenneth !!!!! One of the main reasons i like the "homedics" massager, is that the intensity of the vibrations is adjustable from mild to wild !!!! The one gallon size plastic pickle jars & the square containers that "claussen pickles" are packaged have worked well for me. They have a...

Foot massager gun parts cleaner Yes sir---the foot massager would have worked just fine, although the intensity of the vibrations might not have been as intense as the orbital sander or the homedics muscle massager. Maybe you can find another at a garage sale. Btw: The sonic jewelery cleaner...

    Copper fouling+Flitz+bristle brush=good?

Attention: Mr. Fox You will not need a large amount of flitz on the brush--just a dab, but rub it into the bristles & get busy !!!! After cleaning out the blackened polish, put the jag tip on the rod with a patch, & a few drops of your favorite liquid auto wax. Make several passes through the...
