Thank you. I have been coming across a lot of great info from John Lott. I will have to check out the others.
Anyone know of any good info from the anti side? I can't find much that actually sounds credible or will back up statements...
I have to write a research paper for my English class. I am researching the effects of concealed permit holders on a states violent crime rate.
I have a lot of good info to start with, but I will be grateful for any suggestions.
The main reason I am posting here is because I need insight...
I caught the second episode on my DVR and only the fast forward button made the show watchable. I liked the guns, but didn't really care for the people selling them.
Glad we have shows about the gun industry, but they really need some work before I'll watch 'em...
I carry a full size 1911 and trust it perfectly. I also trust my XD40s when I carry them. I do carry my wife's LCP from time to time, and while I know it is a perfectly capable firearm I feel a little strange while carrying it and hesitate using it as my primary gun.
I think that the guide rod in an XD extends in front of the barrel to facilitate contact shots. Haven't tried it myself though.
Just tried it out and I don't think I would bet my life on it. It seems to work when you are just pressing the gun into a body, but using any more force then light...
I paid $770 for my Kimber Custom and am very happy that I did. I have 550 rounds through it and no problems at all.
I found that I shoot it much better then my XD40s.
For what it's worth, I carry it every day.
The extra 200 bucks would be the deal breaker. From what I read on Serbu's sight I thought I was just dealing with $5 extra.
Would be cool, but the idea of spending a grand for a Mossberg kinda bums me out...
