    LCR in .327 Fed Mag…

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm not sure if the LCR will be my next purchase but it's definitely on my "long term list". The .327 is a really cool, unique caliber and I'm a sucker for calibers like that

    LCR in .327 Fed Mag…

Thanks for the response, khari. Yeah, the caliber versatility would be sweet. I see that the 115gr Gold Dot gets 1200+ fps…. that's wild. I also like having 6 rounds compared to 5. Do you pocket carry it? That would be it's purpose for me… when I'm just running to the store I can throw it in...

    LCR in .327 Fed Mag…

http://dailycaller.com/2016/04/14/gun-test-the-ruger-lcr-revolver-in-327-magnum/ Well, just found that article so that answers my chromo velocity question. That's pretty impressive for such a short barrel! Still would love to hear feedback from anyone who owns an LCR in .327!

    LCR in .327 Fed Mag…

Has anyone chrono'd the velocities of .327 Fed Mag from an LCR? The 100gr Gold Dot and 100gr American Eagle soft point both advertise 1500fps (YOWZA). I'm guessing there's no way a ~ 2" barrel can achieve that, but can it get even close? I'm itching for a new carry revolver and the .327 really...

    Best All-Around Pocket Pistol

If semi-auto: Sig P238 or P938, depending on your caliber preference. If revolver: Close call between the LCR or S&W 642 I'd feel well armed with any of those (as far as pocket guns go)

Anyone convert a closet into a gun closet?

Wise words, thanks again CapnMac. I like the idea of putting a safe in the closet

Anyone convert a closet into a gun closet?

Thanks for all the responses guys. Some great ideas. I was working 12 hour shifts the past few days and didn't have time to respond. I wish this was a larger closet, but it's not. 40" wide, 34" deep, and about 8 ft high to the ceiling. Since it's just my dog and I for the foreseeable future...

Anyone convert a closet into a gun closet?

Carl, when you guys say to add a layer of the fire resistant drywall, I can't just put it up over the existing walls and door, right? Seems like I'd have to do some finishing and lots of additional work to make it look halfway decent. Thanks for sharing ScrapMetalSlug, I also like the idea of...

Anyone convert a closet into a gun closet?

Security is not what I'm asking for a discussion about. My doors and windows all have quality reinforced locks on them. I have no children or roomates to worry about nosing around in there. If someone breaks in while I'm not home they could have plenty of time to figure out how to break in if...

Anyone convert a closet into a gun closet?

I am in the process of renovating a house I recently inherited. Should be moving in right after Thanksgiving. Anyway, the room that will be my bedroom has a closet with a standerd size door (like a door to a room) and the closet is about the same width and depth as the door… Let's say...

    30-06 stuff

I also forgot to mention: I'll be inheriting his 1917 Enfield in 30-06 and a sporterized 1903 Springfield, and also some kind of Savage rifle in 30-06. Last time he hunted was 1969. He's 91 or 93 (I forget) so sadly it'll probably be less than 10 years till I inherit them. I just checked the...

    30-06 stuff

I never said it was collector ammo, I just was curious as to what it's worth. I do see the Twin Cities AP ammo going for $1.50/round and up on various websites, like you said it's another matter if anyone is paying for it.
