lizard bedding. ordered a 25lb bag off amazon for around $25. Then I add nufinish and let that run for 30 minutes to season the walnut media. Add decapped cased and run for 2-2 1/2 hrs., prep cases then run for around 30 min to get lube off. tumbler is controlled by an outlet timer so as not...

    the end is near

Went to sportsmans warehouse today to get some basic supplies. I was there two weeks ago and today found that Winchester primers had went up $6 a brick in two weeks. That's worse then fuel prices. I not a panic buying, but this trend concerns me. -Hardcorehunter5

    Dogs at the Range?

Interesting to me I thought this post was about dogs at the range. Yorkie is more of a long haired rat.

    Core-lokt

Is the core-lokt bullet component made over seas like I suspect. The loaded ammo is made in the usa but what about the bullet itself. It is packaged by Black Hills Shooter Supply which makes me believe it is a non usa product.

Remington Arms under fire for malfunctioning 700 Rifle

Not saying remington's not at fault, but if the trigger pull is set to low the sear will trip by hitting the butt on a hard surface.

Remington Arms under fire for malfunctioning 700 Rifle

I'm going to say this with all due respect. IF the firearm was pointed in a safe direction all tragedy would have been avoided. Muzzle control in the best safety. As I tell my hunter ed students, "a safety is a mechanical device that can fail." Is there a problem with the safety yes, is CNBC...

If you reload, do you reload your own self defense ammo?

ArtP, I haven't heard much about the Barnes bullet, but I would imagine it is good. The only thing I would think it bullet length for it being an all copper bullet, seems like it might possibly have issue with +p loads, since they would be light for the dimensions. That may be the reason I...

If you reload, do you reload your own self defense ammo?

ArtP, To everyone else sorry we hijacked the thread... ArtP I went to Atk's website recently and saw they were bringing the fusion to the reloaders, which intrigued me, since it should be a fairly inexpensive bonded bullet, not that I totally sold on the idea of needing one for hunting. I...

If you reload, do you reload your own self defense ammo?

Gentlemen, I have no doubt about the quality of gold dot. My ultimate point was that as a handloader gold dot is the only defensive bonded bullet to reload with, as far as I know of. The bullets I prefer to shoot are only loaded at the factory. Federal fusion is coming to market, but...

If you reload, do you reload your own self defense ammo?

ArtP, At no point did I say gold dots weren't bonded or good, I just said there is better factory loaded bullets that you can't get as components.

Browning A-bolt .270 wsm Burris Fullfield

Ok. The $500 mark is what I was thinking, because I only buy used if its a good deal. As far as the stock goes, I don't care about the scratch, I was going to use it as a way to get it for a better price. I, unlike most, don't expect rifles to look all that pretty once they have been used. I...

If you reload, do you reload your own self defense ammo?

My vote, no. I have reloaded for years and will not load self defense ammo for one simple reason. Bullet selection is not there as with over the counter stuff. Yeah speer gold dot is good, but there is much better bullets out there, i.e., federal HST, PDX1 by winchester, and even the out...
