This is one that my wife and I discuss as our children are growing (ages 1 and 3). Have an understanding of what you're going to do if something happens when you've got your kids with you in multiple situations. It's a simplier picture if you're out by yourself, but what about with the family...
I know it's on the cheaper end and many people claim that you get what you pay for, most of the time I agree. I had been given the same advice on my IWB and since the suggestion was so cheap I figured that either way, I wouldn't be hurt too bad financially even if I didn't like it. Either way...
I'm a very happy 40c owner. Though I havn't got a lot of rounds thru mine yet (approx 200 so far) there have been zero problems in the two months that I've owned it. It has became my daily carry weapon. I too felt that the M&P is a natural pointer and just felt better in my hands than the...
Favorite has to be my Mustang .380 in stainless. It's not my daily carry, but I won't hesitate to grab it when I need something smaller than my M&P40c. With the cost of ammo for this little guy, it doesn't get the range time it deserves.
6'3" 215lbs 34/36" waist (depending on brand)
M&P40c in a HighNoon Split Decision (95% of the time)
Colt Mustang .380 in an Uncle Mike's Sidekick (5% of the time)
Both are carried IWB @3:30
Apex now offers a "APEX M&P Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit (DCAEK)". This is several different components including the sear, striker block, and springs, etc. This kit was designed to give those who carry their M&P's daily/for duty the better trigger feel, and not reduce the pull weight to...
We're (by policy) not allowed to have firearms at work or in company vehicles. Recently one of our production facilities was shut down but a small maintenance shop still operates out of that location, very bad part of town (we've been broken into 10+ times in the last 12 months). Monday...
Actually, my compressor has a air dryer and oiler (air tool oil) attached to it. Maybe I could just omit all oiling of my guns and just blow 'em off. Just kidding, I give mine a quick wipe down (with the pre-oiled cloths) then wipe off on outside surfaces after a days worth of carry, and run...
I'm having a little trouble narrowing this down, I love all of mine. If I had to list them, I guess my Mossberg 500 that I took my first dear with when I was 12 (18yrs ago), I love my M&P40c, and I also have an attachment to my Colt Mustang, well I really like my SKS that was a gift from my dad...
I can understand the point of doing this in certain circumstances, such as with a brand new gun. Buying something used, you really have no idea what's been through the gun before you bought it. The only other areas I can really see this useful is if your looking for info relative to different...
My lifetime permit was applied for (also in Indiana) back around Dec 20th. I'm still waiting for it to come back. How long did yours take? I have no question that it'll come as I've never been in any trouble/no reasons for them to deny it, I'm just getting anxious and don't like having an...
While I'm still somewhat new to SKS's, I found a lot of great info on these two sites.
http://www.yooperj.com/ great wealth of info on the more common SKS's
http://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php I've used the search function on this site to find a lot out about my /636\ SKS. I've also...
As with most of my modern firearms, "just enough" lube is kinda my motto. I lube, then allow as much to drain/be wiped off as possible. I'm not one for over oiling my guns, thats exactly what made me wonder if I did some things wrong with the SKS. On some other forums, I've heard people talk...
Well, I was gifted a Norinco a few years back. Until now this has been a safe queen and I finally decided that it was time to put some use to this gun. I found a "how to" online for disassembly, and cleaned it as I felt, lubed what I thought should be lubed etc. I'm not that familiar with...
