Felt recoil
I have two Steyer 40 Cal. pistols ( S 40 & M 40) both of which I dislike, but they have less felt recoil (even the compact) than any other 40 auto I have ever fired. And I have probably fired at least 40 40s. (I own 9 different models of 5 makes in 40 Cal). Try a Steyer some folks...
Caliber?
SL Trib. says that the protector had purchased a 9mm handgun after recent attacks at same apartment complex. Perhaps recent price increase in ammunition made it non cost effective to fire more than once?????????????
Firearms coverage
For the poster with USAA insurance. Read the modifyer first sent out last year. It removes the limit on firearms, silverware, sporting goods etc. You are now covered up to the limit of your policy.
Since UT now has reciprocity with NV, I have been sorting through the NV laws pertaining to CCW. I can find no prohibition on carrying in Casinos. For the NV brethern, do you know of any such prohibition? If so, where can I see it?
The web site does not clearly explain exactly what the match consists of. ie: type of targets, yardage, time constraints etc.
It might be interesting to attend, if one understood what to expect after collecting the necessary equipment ( I do not have any OWB holsters except for my 1911's and...
Army Echos
The monthly news letter for Army retirees (which I just got in the mail today) addresses the very question of wearing of awards and decorations on civilian attire. I am sure that non-retirees can find the article on the net if interested.
The OLD Utahskibum
Ammo count
Officer Hammond, Ogden PD, when asked on TV, said he had a Kimber 45ACP with 8 rounds total at time of incident. Thats eight, not six, as one shop keeper reported.
Trolley Square etc.
Utah law does not prohibit CCW at Trolley Square or any other mall. Some say there are "No Gun" signs in/around Trolley, but I have never seen one, actually I don't think I've ever seen a "No Gun" sign anywhere in Utah but the local hospital. That said, if I've ever seen...
Better late than never
I just saw this thread last nite. We were skiing Deer Valley yesterday, however I have fired off a letter to our Senator (Neiderhauser) urging him to vote FOR our right to KBA and against those who would restrict the duty to defend ourselves.
Thanks to those who showed...
Pistol in question
The officer from Ogden was carrying a Kimber in 45ACP with 8 rounds in it. I wonder if the store owner heard him wrong, since store owner said officer yelled I only have six shots, further the officer's description of the event differs significantly fron that of the store...
Saw it
I thought the prodution values were lousy. Specially for the non-shooters, they need to explain the games more fully, and describe the firearms being used. Ginsu info-mercials are better done and probably draw a wider audience.
