cemjr; Those are heckuva first guns -- my compliments. Wow. I hope I don't miss seeing your handgun. I mite prefer a 5" but that is one especially excellent arm. And maybe the best shotgun action of its type ever made IMO.

Where does the scope mount? CAN you use one with the shotgun!?!?!? Be careful and get what will survive if you aren't taking it on and off.

Correct -- it was more than refinished wood. It has been awfully sporterized. Look, anything that goes bang is worth that price, and it has the added benefit of being a shooter. Enjoy!

+1 Do NOT exceed 1:9 if 55 is your core and you WON'T exceed 62. If my focus was 55 I'd go 1:10 if able. 62 primarily? 1:8. 1:7 is ridiculous and really for 62 and greater only (though Colt was preoccupied with it).
