Been wanting either a 586 or 686 with 4" barrel for a while now. Gentleman at my local range let me try his some time back, & took a liking to it immediately- something that's never happened to me with a revolver. Thought hard about ordering a 586 (beautiful gun!) & might still have one...

Really like my SR9c. Have run the gamut of compact polymer pistols & it has the best trigger of the bunch. Easier to shoot well than the others too, a lot of that because of the better trigger, but it also has good ergonomics & sights. Has been completely reliable with Magtech, S&B, Blazer ball...

Several boxes of HST through mine. No problems with it (or anything else).

Traded into one in stainless steel, owner bought it new 3-4 years ago & never shot it. My experience is the same as yours- great trigger (mine's 4.5lbs), very accurate & easy to shoot well. Very tight, but 100% reliable (knocks on wood) so far. Might rather have the parked version, but...

Thinking out loud... maybe the measurement is guaged in the throat/leade? If well cared for, the rifling could be clean, but the throat showing some erosion from many rounds fired?

Still need to get a good look at the bore. The disc is in really good shape... maybe too good? Have read that they're available online stamped any way you want.
