I have a 60DS. It is unusual, but once in hand actually very comfortable to shoot. I use it on paper, so usually single action slow fire. It’s accurate with my hand loads, and with full power magnum loads recoil is less noticeable than my conventional .357’s. It works, no problems.

In the past, when it were easier for New Yorkers to order ammo on line, I had purchased and used .223, .308, .38 and .45 flavors of theirs, the reloaded series. Accuracy was acceptable for plinking, and all went "bang". Wouldn't use it for competition, but for taking the nephews out it was fine...

Actually, I have a feeling your group size is related to the target you are using. There is no well defined "aiming black", such as the SR-1 target. Repeatability for a consistent shot placement with that target would be difficult for me. My garands will consistently shoot 2 to 4" groups at 100...

Check the magazine in the 1911. Could have chambering problems if it is like the spare.
