I agree with the point of your post, but don't sell the P220 short. Mine will shoot 2" at 25 yards with Federal ball. Range sessions are much more enjoyable once your able to make those ragged little holes consistantly.
With that said, I agree completely with your utilitarian "my gun is a...
I have certainly found the cold has an effect on handgun reloads. I shoot reloads thru my Sig P220 all summer with no problem. When it gets down to about 35 degrees I start having cycling problems. While this could be a result of lubrication thickening, I have found that for winter shooting I...
To each his own. I have a Seacamp .32 and love it. I also have a PPK .380 that I love. Both are reliable and easily concealed. Just a matter of personal preference on what you like/feel comfortable with.
Congratulations on your good luck! Had the bullet lodged fully in the barrel you might be typing left handed.
Was there powder in the case or just the .22 brass? I would certainly make the cartridge company that loaded it aware of their lack of quality control. I would not hold back at all...
I would buy an inexpensive stripped frame and then add the specific parts to it from there to get it the way you want it. It is not expensive and it gives you great experience with 1911s. You may even decide to get a .45 slide/barrel later on if you like the "custom" trigger pull.
To buy a...
If this is going to be a SHTF or fun blasting rifle then be sure to get a chrome-lined barrel. It will last for thousands of rounds and will be a bit easier to clean.
If you are more into tack driving and don't mind religously cleaning then one of the stainless match barrels or carbon steel...
I was at Four Seasons today and saw that they had a PPK as well as the PPK/s. What is the difference other then the PPK is a smaller grip?
Keltecs are not legal in Ma. unless they were produced before '98. Ditto the Kahrs. Ma. sucks plain and simple.
Hi folks,
I have been given an old Stevens Favorite (at least that is what it looks like, not sure). It is marked "44rf shot" on the barrel and is in about 50% shape although everything still is functional. Does anyone have an idea about this rifle/shotgun or cartridge?
I also like the Golden Boy lever action. It is alot of fun and plenty accurate out to about 50 yards for can plinking. Plus you just don't see very many of them on the range.
If you are dead set on the IOR scope then I would suggest backup iron sights (if the ar is a flat top) and a sling. Personally, I own/built 4 ARs and I have a Leupold on the 20" flat top and an Aimpoint on the M-4 with backup sights. The other 2 have only their iron sights.
The more I shoot...
