    I've decided to make my first revolver purchase a 5.5" Blackhawk in .45 Colt with the additional cylinder for .45ACP. That way I can hunt and carry a round with good stopping power in the woods, but I can also target shoot without breaking the bank!:D

    Reading these posts makes me glad I decided to buy a Buckmark Standard instead of a 10/22. If I can outshoot a .22 rifle with red-dot sighted Buckmark, I'll be a very happy camper indeed.

    Check out the Ruger Blackhawk. Single-action 6-shooter, and you can get it with an extra cylinder that will allow you to shoot .45ACP as well. The .45 ACP also seems to be pretty accurate from this gun as well. I'm considering making one of these my first revolver purchase sometime next year...
