    Lee auto prime+Federal primers=BOOM????

Go buy the Hornady hand priming tool is my advice. I've owned both and the Hornady is hard to beat.

    forster hollow pointer questin

You need a Forster trimmer. If you buy from Cabelas and get the "kit" they throw in about $40 worth of collets and arbors. You will pay an extra $15 or so for the kit but that's a bargain. You'll be able to trim most calibers without having to buy anything extra. Later on you can add the...

Can't get X-Bullets to shoot less than 2.5" in my 7mm-08

Or your rifle hates those bullets. My .25-06 will shoot tight little groups (3/4" or less) with anything from 75 grain vmax to 120 grain core loct but it hates 87 grain sierra varminters. It shoots 3-4" groups with those so I avoid them.

    What's this?

Maybe it was Austin Powers hanging out with my X wife?

Who first introduced you to the joys of hunting?

Dad... He was a Hunter Safety Instructor for Oregon state. He tought me well in that regard. While I hunted birds and small animals well before he took charge, the real hunting (deer and elk) followed hunters safety training. He would take me to the Blue Mountains with grandpa, uncle Bob...

    Setting up a camp

Why go clear to Alaska? Read up on northern Nevada and southern Oregon. In Oregon look up Steens Mountain... It's been called the most remote wilderness area in the lower 48. I've spent a week there before and never saw an aircraft or another vehicle. Plenty of coyotes and antelope though...

Best way to not get ticks

Exactly what I was going to write. I learned the Dawn trick from our friends in Kansas last July. We were fishing in the strip pits... Tick-o-rama.

    Mosquitos

Look for Ben's... In an orange bottle. I used to get eaten up by skeeters. Since my blood sugar has gotten under control they don't get me as often,

    Anybody hunted with .40 S&W??

The .40 isn't too much different from the 9MM. I carry a .40 in the woods in black bear country and just hope that 16+1 is enough. I'm planning to purchase an EAA Witness Elite Match in 10MM which will replace the .40 in this role. The 10MM can be loaded to .357 magnum levels and, with...

Trying to Decide Between 9mm and .40

I'm with jbauch357.. Only one other thought... Save a little extra and buy the XDm... Worth every penny! Get it in .40 and if you want to later you can buy a 9mm barrel and mags. Me, I'm happy with the .40. No 9 conversions needed here. My XDm-40 puts holes inside of holes, and I like...

    S&W - M&P Problems - How bad are they

I was looking at the M&P until I learned about the occasional frame sag issue. Coming from the Plastics industry it nagged me. I went for the XDm-40 ... So far I'm good with it.
