    Are shotguns really best for home defense?

    IMO, with the options we have these days, the shotgun is pretty much my last choice.... A pistol is going to be my first choice for manuverability inside the home, and if/when I need or can acquire a long gun, the carbine is what I'm going for. A short M4 type carbine beats a shotgun six...

    Seecamp questions

    Compare & Contrast .357 Sig/.40 S&W

    Neither round is better than the other as far as self-defense is concerned. In the firearms I have fired in both calibers (SIG 229 and Glock 23) the .40 has decidedly more muzzle flip.

    Summertime Carry?

    I carry a SIG 228 year round. If you find a way to dress comfortably,anything will work. I wear my 228 OWB in a Jim Burke holster with a light weight overshirt. When I'm dressed down,I carry a Seecamp 32 ALWAYS.

    Why the price difference in Sig .45's?

    It probably boils down to supply and demand.I don't see to many 245s in my area.Personally,I do not care for the 245.

    I lock the slide back,insert full mag,and drop slide. I really don't see a reason to top off the mag.

    First brand you had more than 1 of?

    SIG Sauer I had a 229 with 357/.40 barrels. i traded it to my dad for a 226 two-tone 357. I got rid of the 226 ultimately and have acquired 3 228s and 2 225s.

    Sig P225 range report

    Outstanding! I love my 225 as well. i have never had a malfuntion with any SIG I own/have owned except for a .40 229 that was a squib load.
