My guess is too much initial pressure and the bullet blew through the rifling without imparting any spin, and the only way to prove it was the soft recovery.

I have both, a Bullberry in 7.62 x 39 and a MGM in 357 mag. Both are very accurate barrels. To me, the Bullberry has a deeper blue finish. That is the only difference I see.

With 357 sig, bullet selection is the key. Bullet must have a short nose profile and a long shank. Unless your bullet meets these guidelines you will be trying to crimp your bullet on the curvature of the nose. This only makes your problems worse since it tends to push the bullet deeper into...
