.308 300 and 600 yard bullet selection for targets

I stick with the 175 SMKs...at all ranges. If you have a 1:10 twist, the 180 SMKs should also do well. As stated above, try to stay with one bullet that will shoot well across the range...175 SMKs will do this from 100 yards out to at least 1000 yards. You won't save much money on 168s...they...

Second try at F Class 300 Yards

Yes, little steps. The second time I shot in an F-class match, my scores weren't nearly that high. I believe you are doing well and should continue along your current path. Cheers, Jasper

If you remember and have the time, I would like to know the results of your reloads with the I 4350. Thanks, Jasper

    Powders for .308...

Are you intending to hunt with these reloads or shoot targets...or both?

    Powders for .308...

Sorry, misunderstood the question...unfortunately, I have no experience with any of these powders in 308. I have had good accuracy with IMR 4064, but don't know how it compares to these other powders.

    Powders for .308...

See if they are listed in your reloading manual in the 308 Win section. Or check the Hodgdon reloading data web site http://www.hodgdon.com/

    Bolt action .308 v. AR 10

I believe you have answered your own question...I prefer the bolt action as well. I have a friend with a DPMS LR-308 that is just as accurate as a bolt gun. However, I am more comfortable with a bolt action myself.

    New primer brands

I bought several thousand S&B primers earlier this year. Have had no issue...they go bang every time. I have noted that they slide into the primer pocket much more easily than the CCI #34 or Win LR. None have popped out, just something to be aware of if you are shooting an AR or something...

    brass

If you might be interested in new, primed Lake City brass, www.patsreloading.com has them for around 35 cents each...they should require only neck sizing since they are unfired.

    brass

Go on line and search for once fired brass. Places like brassmanbrass.com will often have once fired brass in many different brands. It is cheaper but requires sizing, trimming, etc. If you buy any once fired military rifle brass, be sure to read up on the differences between mil surp brass...

    osprey Scopes

They are made in China. It appears that you are getting a lot for the $$ you spend, but I suspect the internal quality isn't up to snuff. I have looked at them at gun shows and have been unimpressed by the lack of clarity of the glass.

    suppressor inconsistency with subsonic rounds?

Again, I really appreciate all the info and advice...you all are a good crowd to converse with. So I did as was directed...I loaded up some rounds with the original load that worked so well originally, 175 grn SMK, 10 grn TB, WLR, and Win brass. I fired 5 rounds without the suppressor...nice...

    hi tech ammo?

If you call them, you may be able to talk to them...I am sure that they will update you if they have or expect to have anything in stock. I too have enjoyed business with them in the past and they have been straight shooters business-wise with me.
