    T/C LRR

Does anyone have any experience with the LRR. I am looking for basically any info on accuracy, quality and any known problems. Most of what I have read so far have been articles promoting the rifle.

    Mount for red dot

I checked with EGW, none of their mounts will work with the Bushnell. I have EGW mount on a rifle, very happy with it.

    Mount for red dot

I have a Bushnell red dot (AR750006) that I would like to mount on a Gen 2 Glock 19. I am looking at the JT Defense mount and have been trying to get in touch with them for three days but haven't been able to. Does anyone know if there is another "no machine" mount that would work? Are there...

    setting up to load 300wm

Thanks for the replies. After doing further research I found that a standard die along with a collet die for belted magnums from http://www.larrywillis.com is a good way to go. I may try IMR 4955 or 7977. Iowa can have large temperature swings also. I found out yesterday that my 700 is subject...

    setting up to load 300wm

A new stock is on the list, along with an optic, muzzle brake and whatever else I think it needs. I do not care for the light weight SPS stock but I got the rifle at a good price. I have been using the RCBS X die in 308 and 223 do you think it would be a good choice for the 300?

    setting up to load 300wm

I just picked up a new Rem 700 SPS in 300 WM so now I am looking for advice on dies. I have loaded 308's and 223's but nothing that looks like an artillery shell. I don't know if since it is a bolt gun I should just neck resize or use a full length die. Can anyone who is familiar with the 300...

    loading for 1:7 short barrel

I agree, I don't expect much better. I am hoping for more consistency or at least the same as an AR with the same barrel length if possible. I miss the accuracy of my M1A but this rifle is a lot more fun to shoot.

    loading for 1:7 short barrel

Thanks. I think it helped to turn the dot brightness down to where the outer circle was almost gone making the dot more pinpoint. I will have to try sandbags.

    loading for 1:7 short barrel

I was able to shoot today. The wind was high and 90 deg to my range with strong gusts making it hard to stay on target. I decided to use the optics first so I slowed down and paid attention to making the shot. The first five were around 3". The remaining shot groups were 3" to 6" (it was hard to...

    loading for 1:7 short barrel

I am staying within the manual guidelines for load data. The rifle does seem to perform better near the max load data. The bullets that I use are RMR, Hornady, Sierra and Nosler. Factory ammo performs the same. The rifle is new to me and it is different to what I am familiar with so I haven't...

    loading for 1:7 short barrel

I am using RMR FMJ and Speer Varmint SP bullets in 55 grain.

    loading for 1:7 short barrel

The tavor has a low round count (~300). I don't think the barrel is bad but I don't know for sure. I have gotten better groups with the heavier bullets (~3" to 6"). I believe the IDF shoots 55 grain bullets through the Tavor. I am starting to suspect the optic. The magnifier isn't an...

    loading for 1:7 short barrel

I need help from more experienced shooters, I am having trouble getting .223 55 grain bullets to group well in my 1:7 twist 16 inch barrel. I have tried H335 and Varget at various loads and seating but I can't seem to pull the group in under 7" to 8'' at 100 yards. 62 to 69 grain bullets do...

    Tavor X95 worth reloading for?

I have been loading for my Tavor for a few months now. I thought that 63 and 69 grain bullets would be more accurate especially in strong cross winds. I found that at 100 yards they shoot about the same as 55 grain bullets. I did find that for 69 grain match Kings my rifle likes Varget over...

Powders and bullets for a 223 with a 1 in 7.7 twist 24" long barrel

I have been using this for checking various bullet gyroscopic stability factors (SG) http://www.bergerbullets.com/twist-rate-calculator/ I also found this for gaining a general idea for bullet weight. Determining twist rate vs. bullet weight Bullet length divided by caliber = X Bullet...
