I called to order a Legacy without the "billboard" and they told me NO! You can only have it their way. I also don't like the ramped barrel or their cocking serrations. Their 2011 are great, especially in price compared to their SVI cousins.
I want a full kit like the one my Dad had. More accurate at 50 meters than most firearms are at 25.
I do have a 586 with a trigger that the Model 15 can only imagine.
I am still looking for a good Model 19.
Interchangeable backstraps are stupid. Just like custom suits or options on a car. Who needs that? Why don't they just sell cars without options; colors only black and white please.
I like having choices. I am of small stature. I find many well designed firearms to be less than ideal...
I have both the P220 (W.Ger) and HK45. I am on a 1911 kick, and the HK is new so my P220 is taking the back seat. Both of mine have had their triggers smoothed over, but out of the box the Sigs trigger was better. Can't go wrong with either one. They both have their pros and cons, but for me...
I started with a P226 then switched over to the P228. I did not like the P229. The P229 is stainless and is a bit heavier. I did not like how it feels compared to the P228. Very minor difference but I would choose the P228. Out of those two I would choose the P229 because of the package size.
The indoor range has predominant fmj but there are hard cast bullets in the mix. I would guess a 70/30 mix. Would this mix and water quenching suffice to harden the bullet (230 lrn 45acp @ <860fps) to minimize lead fouling of the barrel? If not, what do I have to add to the pot and where do I...
Just got 500lbs of indoor range bullets. It is a pain to sort out the carpet from the lead. I have no experience with casting so please bear with me. What happens to the copper jacket when melting fmj? Is it safe to recyle these bullets?
