Thanks Chris. I’ve got some older data from Lyman on the round using H335 but found a good deal on CFE BLK at Powder Valley and ordered 8 lbs. Most data was specific for 125 gr but nothing for 123. Glad it works great. I’ll load some up and give it a try. Thanks again.
What perfect timing Ballman6711! I have been searching for load data using CFE BLK for the 123 gr. and have not found anything. Curious, where did you find it? I have went to Hogdons website and resources and found nothing. Plenty for IMR 4198 but they want a kings ransom for that powder...
Recently purchased a Beretta 1200 in 12 ga in what looks like a safe queen for what I think was a great price, $425. Any owners have some info on the shotgun? Took it to the range and cycles well, but ordered replacement springs. Thanks
Yes they do. I would highly recommend these. C&H PWS. I went with the aluminum plate for V4 Mil spec / LEO for Glocks. The others are okay (I also have the V4 defender) but plastic. Order form their website. Pretty quick shipping. Excellent product. Glock19 MOS for a Trijicon RMR...
I have many Lee FCD for pistol calibers, but none for rifle. FCDs work great if every cartridge is the same exact length to apply the same level of crimp.
Have you tried annealing your brass after cleaning and prior to sizing? It softens the brass and is easier to size. I use the lanolin and STP mixture. Spray the cases and let them dry. Put a little imperial wax on your fingers. Stopped having any stuck cases. YMMV.
24.5 grains of H335 with a 55 gr FMJ BT Hornady at a 2.250 has been my go to round. Fired out of 20”, 16” and 7.5” - all shoot great. H335 works good in 308 win. as well.
I too have the Chargemaster 1500 and have been extremely happy with it. There are some cheat codes that you can get off Youtube that speeds the dispenser up. Works great. pretty accurate with in +/- .1 grain. Use it primarily for rifle rounds and extruded powder. Also the straw trick really...
Realistically... somewhere in the range of $700 Retail price your friend probably spent around $1100 . Market value is worth what someone will give you for it.
