I load 7.0 gr HS-6 with 158 gr coated LSWC. They crono an average of1050 fps. Nice medium load, but the brass is sometimes stiff to extract and the primers are slightly flattened. This is in my 66 no dash. The same load never showed that in my old 19-3.
I use CFEP with 125 gr coated in my 9mm pistols. I always start new loads light and usually have to go up to close to max to get my guns to eject more than a dribble. I now load 4.6 gr. and that works fine.
I now have 4 9mm 1911s (one is a DS). I just like the trigger and the look is classic. I only shoot them at the range. My CCW is a Sig P365, size and capacity rule this choice.
I use the chips from Southern Shine. I think they work much better for primer pockets. The trick is to use citric acid, I get milliard from amazon. I use 2 1/2 pounds of chips on the small FA wet tumbler. I can clean up to 500 9mm with this. The FA wet media separator is well worth the money...
