    Favorite 9mm Carry Ammo

    115gr Winchester Silvertips(until I'm out),then it'll be WWB JHP 115gr. Works well,priced right. JL

    Ruger P-89 Price Check?

$150 is a superb price if it's in good condition. I paid $300 for my blued P89 6-8 months back. That grip makes it a good shoter-I was amazed at how well I shoot the old tank with a good finger-groove grip. JL

    Beretta PX-4 Sub-Compact - Mine, mine, mine!!

Put my hands on one today-fits my hand well, and the trigger is crisp and clean. It was hard to walk away from it,but no funds for another week or two. I do have a question....I noticed the guide rod is very flexible plastic, and the trigger appears to be plastic resin of some kind. How are those...

Even with Ike, you gotta love Texas

I guess we do, I don't remember lying around on my butt complaining and asking where "help" was at after Rita thrashed our area. I remember walking down a local county road, chainsaw in hand, with 4 other guys doing the same-cutting our way in to check on our neighbors and their homes. It was...

Even with Ike, you gotta love Texas

If I had to guess,he's in a line of work similar to mine, and works for a company that will do power/supply line restoration to the main fuel suppliers and stations after the storm blows through. I've got the same hologram for my license for access to disaster areas that are locked down to all...

    Beretta PX-4 Sub-Compact - Mine, mine, mine!!

I like the slim levers too-esp for a CC gun. JL

    Beretta PX-4 Sub-Compact - Mine, mine, mine!!

So,if I follow correctly, the slim levers simply decock only and are spring loaded to return to the safety "off" position after the decock action? JL

Need holster ideas for Ruger P94

I'm in the same boat right now,and I'm trying out several as I have time. Looks like an IWB holster will be about the only way I can see concealing this gun in the summer.

If you could have only one 9mm

Well, for an inexpensive, always reliable and Tonka-truck tough gun.. I'd pick the 9mm I own right now. The Ruger P89. Not gonna win any contests for looks, not the lightest gun out there, and has a mediocre trigger feel.....but,it always goes bang with any ammo you put in it,and is combat accurate...

    Beretta PX-4 Sub-Compact - Mine, mine, mine!!

I actually prefer a DA/SA hammer fired gun,but I really like the crisp trigger feel/pull of the XD(need to put my hands on the PX4 to compare). I like the looks of the PX4 better than the XD, but I think my wife would be safer with the "simpler to operate in a bad situation" grip safety on the...

    Beretta PX-4 Sub-Compact - Mine, mine, mine!!

Very interesting comparison to the LCP. I've been wanting to get my hands on one,and they're just too rare right now to find easily. I'm stuck between the XD SC 9mm and the PX4 SC 9mm...it's gonna be a tough decision. In really need to get both of them side by side to do a good comparison of the...

    Help me choose a non-Glock subcompact .40

Here's a good photo comparison of most of the subcompacts available: http://www.berettaweb.com/BERETTA_PX4_Storm_SubCompact/Beretta_PX4_SubCompact.htm
