I picked up the 5 shot .357 with the shrouded hammer after firing a wide range of ultra-lite revolvers. The guys at the range/shop are not Taurus friendly and they tried their best to get me into a S&W that didn't have the shrouded hammer I was looking for and ran about $300 more. Not sure...

A knife + OC is a great combo (against a non-gun wielding attacker) as the opponent will want to keep their eyes on the knife, but away from the spray....if the pepper spray was in a flashlight style device at night it would further enhance the effect. Mute point if you can carry a gun...

I really like the fenix lights, 200+ lumens in strobe mode can be a bit much to bear with your eyes unadjusted. If you got used to it, it could give the upper hand during the critical 'target identification' phase.
