First centerfire rifle I got was a Savage 99 in 250-3000 Savage. I still own that rifle & love it. I have had 243's & own a 6.5 Swed but I sold the 243's simply because I could do everything I wanted with the 250 that the 243 would do, if I needed faster rounds I'd go to a different caliber, If...
I've got a 1917 S&W revolver & it uses the moonclips, I just carry a reload in my pocket with no problem, btw this pistol works great with the 3rnd moonclips also.
Look into a 250 Savage. I've got WAY more than 1500 rounds thru it & it still picks off squirrel sized targets at 200+ yards all day long.. & thats in a lever action made in the 1920's with a Lyman All American 4x scope.
Thanks guys this is GREAT, you got my kids head turning with all the ideas lol. The ideas of getting the control on the amount of media & size of it as well as the amount of casings is great, we never thought of that. Being that we live in the peoples republic of Kalifornistan the other problem...
My son is trying to find what medias would work in a vibratory brass cleaner besides the normal walnut & corncob media. The main idea is to see if their are other materials you could use & what would the results be. The rules are it has to be a dry media & not cause harm to the Lyman machine (my...

I've worn out a cutter on a Lyman trimmer, it takes A WHOLE LOTTA TRIMMING on the same diameter cases. Ours was worn out on 30 cal cases over many years of use ( trimming 4 or 5000 308 military cases didn't help either lol). You can get new heads thru Lyman & I believe places like midway too.
I've got a National Ordinance 03-A3 that shoots almost as well as my Springfield 03, biggest problem is the rear sight on the National Ordinance A3 is not adjustable (is not the M-1 carbine style) here is a link to one on Gunbroker minus the rear sight...
I like mine, 380acp, 5rnd mag, fits in back pocket of jeans or in front pocket of jean jacket, most importantly is I can hit what I want with it. I know it ain't pretty but hey, I've never really cared about looks lol.
Had to pick the 250 Sav since it was listed. Great little cartridge, accurate, low recoil & if you can hit what you want every time it's alot better than a cannon you can't hit anything with.
If you want accuracy & efficency in a 25 try the 250 Sav, great little cartridge. If recoil is an issue, out of the 2 you are looking at go with the roberts, if a little more recoil is ok & you want the farther shots go with the 06.
My mini-4 is a stainless model made in 1985 isn't to bad on accuracy. With a cheap golden antler 3x9 on a b-square mount my 10 yr old can hit the ram at 500 meters 4 times out of 5 off the bench. Granted it takes him a few rounds to figure the hold over since the Mini isn't sighted in at that...
no points for this; can anyone spot what is incorrect about the picture?
2 different rounds in the foreground & is that a dummy round in the trigger guard? Mine has a flat cylinder release lever (for lack of a better term lol) Last thing, was it ever made in nickle?
